Great product. I have used it for slumber parties, camping and for our toddler in a hotel room. Cozy and sturdy.
Great toddler cot, horrible smell

I am rating this 4 stars because it is a great little cot. I bought two for my 2 1/2 year old boy girl twins. I takes less than a minute to set up, and it is a nice gender neutral color. It is not as bright as the picture, but I was glad to see that it wasn't. It is a little shorter than other similar products, but only by about 2 inches, so not a big deal for us. I love that they allow my kids to lay pretty flat. I have seen and tried the regalo cot and it had a ridge in the middle, so that is why I ultimately chose this cot. The first time my children used these they slept great, so in my book these are winners.

I do have one very major issue though, and that is the smell. The other review wasn't kidding, These smell really bad right out of the box. They smell like walking into a tire factory. I had to throw these out in the garage to air out because they made the whole house smell like a tire factory. I mean the smell was bad. Even after airing out a bit, the smell... Read more
My Dad's Garage...
by Christine Rudnicki (November 19, 2012) 4 of 4 people found this review helpful
Is what this product smells like upon opening. WOW! It certainly brings back memories of my dad's '49 BUICK. The oil/ petrolium smell is something fierce. It actually made our entire first floor smell after about 20 minutes. The product is clearly marked for baby, and I am shocked if anyone would put there child on this cot before seriously airing out the thing. So a few points, #1 the cot does ope in less than a minute. #2 Mine came as shown with the green cover. HOWEVER the cover was already placed over the canvas so the smell, which I think comes from the canvas, had seeped into the sheet. #3. It took thee washings (on its own) for the cover to be without the oil like smell. I ordered this for a "nap space" for our 16 month old for our holiday trip which will include numerous locations. I am not sure that the cot will air out in time.

So if not for the smell this would be a five star product.. its easy to open, to store and transport. The kiddo did want to sit on it... Read more
