Firstly, this is a great jewel case for your dresser top or drawer. However, it is NOT a travel jewel case ... your jewelry would spill from the compartments if you flip the case over :((
JEWELRY CASE FEATURES:
Outer dimensions: 10½" long x 7¼" wide x just under 2½" deep.
The outer lining of the case is black suede fabric. It looks great. Remember though, black shows every bit of lint.
The base of the box is sensibly lined with an easy to clean vinyl/leatherette.
The inner lid has a cute little mirror measuring about 6½" x2¼". It also has a pouch/pocket 10" wide x 3" deep. The pouch is attractively shirred (gathered) with an elastic top. I keep a couple of chains and larger earrings here.
The upper lid closes snugly into the grooved lower lid. The case is secured with a big snap closure/fastener that is easy to operate.
A 6" long satin ribbon is attached at one end between the top and bottom of the case... Read more

I bought this jewelry case to organize my earrings and I am very happy with it. Each compartment holds 2-3 pairs of small earrings or 1-2 larger pairs. It can also hold chains, rings, etc. If you mostly have small earrings, this is a great organizer for them.
